HPLIP setting "Media Size"

Asked by Eduard Bürki

Hello,

In my HPLIP driver I have found two similar settings for "Media size".
This are:
-A4 autoduplex 210x297mm
-A4 210x297mm

What is the difference?

It looks like I can print in autoduplex-mode together with "Media size: A4 autoduplex 210x297mm".
But I also can print in single-mode with "Media size: A4 autoduplex 210x297mm" .

So this is very confusing. When do I need "A4 autoduplex 210x297mm" and when do I need "A4 210x297mm".

In which way is the printing behaviour different?

Would appreciate some answer. Thank you.

Hi ,

You can use any of the A4 size. It should work fine with Duplex as well as with Simplex printing

Thank you.

But why does it have 3 times "A4 [...] 210x297", when it is the same?

(A4 autoduplex 210x297mm, A4 210x297mm, A4 borderless 210x297mm)

Thank you.
