Unable to configue my printer HP Laserjet P1007

I recently upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04. My printer HP Laserjet P1007 was working in 16.04. In order to configure the printer, I downloaded hplip-3.20.5.run and ran it. It went alright until it failed on loading the plugin. Normally at this point, it will load the plugin and the printer makes that peculiar sound. That didn't happen.
