HP Device Manager Cannot Install HP-Plugin on Manajaro-ARM Distro

Asked by JF Lim

Hi HP-Support,

HP-LaserJet-1020 connected to ARM64 device running Linux Manjaro-ARM via USB. Unable to paste HP Device screen capture on this page.

I am facing issue on getting HP-LaserJet-1020 to work on Manjaro-ARM as the HP Device Manager cannot complete the configuration or install the necessary hp-plugin for the HP-LaserJet-1020 the error message:

Plug-in version: 3.20.11
Installed HPLIP version: 3.20.11
Number of files to install: 64

note: Using PyQt5
warning: manjaro-arm distro is not found in AUTH_TYPES
qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 874, resource id: 10530186, major code: 40 (TranslateCoords), minor code: 0
Plugin installation failed

"Unable to receive key from keyserver"

For your info, The same ARM64 device running Debian Buster-ARM64 or Ubuntu Focal-ARM64 have no issue with the HP Device Manager downloading the HP-Plugin for the printer and HP-LaserJet-1020 to print but in Manjaro-ARM the HP-Device-Manager cannot complete the installation of the required hp-plugin due to "manjaro-arm distro is not found in AUTH_TYPES" and "Unable to receive key from keyserver".

Hi ,

Manjaro-ARM is not supported by HPLIP. Hence you are seeing this error.

Can you help with this problem?
