Unable to scan from HPEnvy6234 printer but have been able to print since installationcan print?

Have downloaded HPLIP as instructed but getting message To scan to computer visit 123hp.com/setup to download HP software (full software & drivers)

Sorry what are distro details and driver details??? I just put a disc in to load printer originally and it has printed merrily since and when on windows scanned too but now am on Linux Mint will not scan if that helps
