Regarding HP Deskjet F4480 and mainly newer versions of HPLIP...

Asked by Joel Scott Craycroft

Hello to all, Just wandering if I should basically install hplip latest version or at least attempt to with a HP Deskjet F4480 on say like Antix Linux which I believe is based off of the Debian Linux OS or would it work and same old thing meaning shadowy images and text on printouts or not so Question is What do you think would be necessary to fix that problem on Linux mainly because on Windows 10 for example it works fine with no shadowy text or images at all but like I say on linux it is a totally different story.. Or is that because it is no longer supported or too old a printer to work on the later versions of linux as well because as far as I know hplip v3.9.6 was the last and latest version to supposedly work with it correctly that is.. Anyways, Thanks in advance for listening and Have a wonderful day ahead as well..!..
