HP printer states cartridges installed incorrectly.

An HP Office Jet Pro 6975 gives the following message: 'Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed'. No cartridge is indicated and all seem to be correctly installed. They all give an audible click when inserted. After reinstalling the cartridges and closing the cover, the printer says, 'Checking the printer, please wait ...' The error message then reappears.
