HPLIP

Job not sent / error 5012

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 and have installed HPLIP 3.20.6 and the dependencies as well. Both printers are connected via usb, and both of them are recognized by the HPLIP, but I'm facing 2 problems:

1) On HP Laserjet P1005, on visual everything seems to be ok, but the job is not sent to the printer. HPLIP says that "the job has been completed' but nothing happens .

2) On HP 2676 the system shows this message: "unable to communicate - error 5012".

So, I can't use any of my printers. They were working just fine on previous versions of Ubuntu such as 16.04 and 19.04

Can someone help me?

Hi ,

For your first printer, Laserjet P1005 , please install plugin file for the same version and give print.

For second printer , please refer below link:

Ubuntu 20.04 is supported with few limitations in HPLIP. Hence you are seeing device busy error.

You can print via network instead of USB.
