Hplip-error message with 404-page

Asked by Christoph

Second trial because of no reaction to this question in german:

I have tried to connect HP NFW-MFP-1217 in my network as a scanner (printing works!).

Hplip shows this error message:
"HPLIP cannot detect devices in your network. This may be due to existing firewall settings blocking the required ports like (5353/udp). When you are in a trusted network environment, you may open the ports for network services like mdns and slp in the firewall. For detailed steps follow the link.

The desired page doesn't exist
http://hplipopensource.com/node/375
404 error

The page should exist or the error message should be revised.

Cheers

Christoph

http://hplipopensource.com/node/375
