What are the steps to install HP deskjet 1112 in ubuntu 16.04 lts

I did the following:
1. Downloaded hplip from the authetic website
2. Gave permissions
3. Ran hp-doctor.

But it tells no plug in printer found even when the printer is connected via USB.

Hi ,

First install hplip from below link and install it:

https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/gethplip

After installing setup your device via usb or network using below link:

https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/install/manual/hp_setup
