The HPLIP packages provide Ubuntu 20.04 are sufficient for this device.

Hi Brian
Thanks

I downloaded the latest version from the hplip website is it a test version ?
Which version do you think I should use ?

I Installed unsuccessfully The 3.20.6 plugin and got this message :

stdout = subprocess.check_output(cmd, stderr=devnull)
  File "/usr/lib/python3.8/subprocess.py", line 411, in check_output
    return run(*popenargs, stdout=PIPE, timeout=timeout, check=True,
  File "/usr/lib/python3.8/subprocess.py", line 512, in run
    raise CalledProcessError(retcode, process.args,
subprocess.CalledProcessError: Command '('lsb_release', '-a')' returned non-zero exit status 1.

Hi ,

Ubuntu 20.04 is supported with few limitations in HPLIP. Hence you are seeing device busy or unplugged error.

Could you please refer below link for your bug:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1879206

You can print via network instead of USB.
