Cannot install HPLIP 3.20.6 on KDE Neon 5.19.3

Asked by E. Rinehart

Hello, I am trying to install HPLIP 3.20.6 to support my new HP Envy 6000. I have KDE Neon 5.19.3.

As I run hplip-3.20.6.run in the Automatic mode, I am selecting Ubuntu 18.04, but I cannot resolve the "libcrypto" dependency. I have been resolving other missing dependencies manually, but though I have installed libcrypto++6, libcrypto++-dev, and libcrypto++-utils, it still claims that the libcrypto dependency is missing.

Please let me know what other info I can provide.

How can I proceed? Thank you!

Your device offers an AirPrint service. See

Thank you!
However, I tried setting up via the CUPS web interface and I get the following: "Unable to copy PPD file".
Thanks,
Eric

I found my new problem. I had to remove all of the existing attempts to install the printer. After I did that, I was able to add the printer with the CUPS web interface. Works well now!
Thank you!
Eric
