Is Deskjet 2633 supported?

Asked by Risto Mononen

Hello,
HP Deskjet 2633 is not listed among the supported listed printers on the hp.com page. Will it work with HPLIP? Printing and control from the mobile phone is ok so the device is ok.

Doesn't look like it, but HPLIP probably isn't needed. Say which OS you
are using and give the outputs of

 avahi-browse -rt _ipp._tcp

and

 avahi-browse -rt _uscan._tcp

when the Deskjet is connected to the network.

Cheers,

Brian.

This request for information was intended to explore another method
(driverless) of printing. The lack of response up until now is probably
an indication that Risto Mononen does not have access to the device.

In essence the question has been answered. There is no sign that the
HP Deskjet 2633 is supported in models.dat. It will not work with HPLIP.
The question has been solved, so, for the benefit of other users, it
should be marked by Risto as solved.
