The 107a is not supported by HPLIP and probably never will be.

HiThanks. WE also have a mac sierra laptop I could use but cannot find a way of using the printer with this either. It recognised the printer and appears to send print jobs, but they disappear. So you know if the hp laser 107a is compatible with this mac?

I do not know anything about Macs, Gemma. The ULD package
only contains software for i386 and x86_64 architectures.

IMO, you have a direct answer to your question and it should be
marked as solved.
