how to load ink cartridge? it wont print but thinks there is ink in the original cartridge Thanks

dont use it much, It says ink about 1/6 full but no print, It thinks it is printing and photocopying but I just get blank sheets. Blue and magenta still work but I dont print very much probably average 5-10 sheets a month . I have a new cartridge but can't find a "fit new cartridge" or clean heads routine.
