It is always a good idea to give the device model involved.

HPLIP 3.20.3 from the HP web pages does not support Ubuntu 20.04.

In the Ubuntu repositories there is a modified version that works with Ubuntu 20.04 (e.g. replacing qt4 dependencies by qt5).
You can install it with the command
sudo apt install hplip-gui

The far better solution of course is that the HP developers provide an updated version. I hope that this will come soon.
