How do I connect aHP 7510 Photosmart printer wirelessly and with no router to my computer?

Asked by Wesley L Miles on 2020-04-13

I have spent many hours unsuccessfully trying to connect my HP Photosmart 7510 printer to my computer. HPLIP is installed in the computer but I don't remember which version. I can print when the two are connected by a cord. The printer is capable of scanning and doing efax but I can't get it to scan to the computer even when connected by the cord. I have searched all the HP sites I can find for information with no success. Any help out there?

Hi,

Use "hp-setup" to setup your printer wirelessly.

For scanning first download the plugin from the following link https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/plugins

>> sh YOUR_DOWNLOADED_PLUGIN_FILE

and try scan via "hp-scan" or "xsane"

Can you help with this problem?
