Printer won't recognise ink cartridges

I have used equivalent cartridges from First Call Inks successfully for several weeks, but now my printer will not recognise them, and both cartridge lights flash. What do I need to do to solve this problem and rectify the "missing/incompatible" items shown by hp-check?

Printer is HP deskjet 2540 all-in-one.

Operating system is Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon 32-bit.
