Too long printing times for some documents

Asked by Javi FA

I've noticed for some documents (particularly documents with pictures) the printing times are too long, even between pages of the same document. I have a LaserJect 1320 and apparently it is working fine because I can print, the driver and CUPS does recognise it when is connected to the USB port.

So I'd say is working as expected, however, as I've said ... for some documents I've noticed the pictures presence inside the document (in pdf format) is delaying the printing work substantially.

I'm right now trying to print a 6 pages document and have been taking for now 20 min and it have only printed 2 pages, it has taken like 10 min for each page.

I don't find this normal, what do you think?

well, there is not any way to debug the printing work? I need to see what's happening.

I've got a dual boot system and this delay is not happening for the same document in W10, so I suspect this is a driver issue.

I've apparently solved using

Model: HP LaserJet 1320 Series pcl3, hpcups 3.19.12 (en)

When I add the printer in CUPS web interface.
