LaserJet 4P Not Listed as Supported

Is the LaserJet 4P supported by HPLIP?

The printer LaserJet 4P is not listed as a supported device.

Also, the printer LaserJet 4P is not listed as an unsupported device.

If the 4P is supported, could it be added to the supported list.

Mark,

We wont be adding support for the LaserJet 4P because it's a very old device.

The unsupported table lists devices that we know do not work with HPLIP--the Laserjet 4P might work--but has reached it's end of life by HP and we are no longer have access to the device to confirm if it works or not.

If you wanted you can edit the models.dat table following the same sections as the LaserJet 4 as guidelines. and you might be able to get it to work.
