HP-Setup reports that my wifi card is not turned on. Setup fails, HPtool box will not recognize my printer. HPEnvy 6225

Asked by Ernest Bazzinotti

I'm running Linux mint 19.1, and I downloaded the latest HP driver(HP-3.19.8) . I run the install program and everything installs just fine. When I run HP-Setup,... HP-setup reports that my wifi card is not turned on. I have no problem connecting to the internet by wifi card.

HPTool Box does not recognize my wifi printer. I have an HP Envy 6225. Linux Mint installed it's own driver, so I can print. To finish the install I have to run HP-Setup 192.168.1.174, but that doesn't work either. If I plug in a usb cable HPTool Box works just fine. Why is the install saying that mt wifi card is turned off?

Can you help?

Thank you.
