How can I install hplip 3.19.8 on Linux Mint

I am unable to install hplip 3.19.8 on Linux Mint.
When I try to download the driver directly from the HP website, the following error message appears:
"Plugin install failed"
And it does not complete the installation.
I would like to know what I must do to complete the installation and be able to use the printer.

Can you install plugin file from below link:

https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/plugins

Please use below command to install plugin. It should install plugin successfully:

$sh hplip-3.19.8.plugin.run

I downloaded this plugin and installed it as requested above, but still get the following error message:
Printer Error
There was a problem processing the document

Would you have any other suggestions?

Can you please provide the Linux Mint version details and the printer details.
