HPLIP

Device busy

HP 6700 AIO: trying to scan gives the error "failed to open device: Device Busy". All I can do is close. I have the latest HPLIP installed. (3.19.8) I have no dependency issues. I'm on Ubuntu 18.04. I've restarted both the 6700 and my computer several times. And nothing on the web seems to be directly related to this particular problem. Help!!!!
