HP OfficeJet 5200 All in One is not able to scan, printed text is angled at side margins.s

Asked by Marc Beylik

Totally new to Ubuntu OS coming over from Windows 7. Set up for HP OfficeJet 5200 All In One printer is on USB connected to desktop computer. Followed the auto prompts along the set up process.

I would like to scan documents to the desktop for filing in separate folders.

When printing LibreOffice Writer text documents, some of the characters on the side margins are out of line with the rest of the characters in the line of text.

I don't know if this is important but i was able to find Linux Distribution: 12 18.04

I am pretty lost when it comes to entering code in the terminal to diagnose the problem, or to determine if all the driver software I need to run this printer is on my system, and where that might be.
