Since Ubuntu 19.04 migration, my printer does not print anymore
Hi all
Since the migration to Ubuntu 19.04, my printer does not print (or scan anymore).
I have fully installed HPLIP 3.19.6 and setup the printer : everything is installed like a charm, even th proprietary plugin, but the test page is not printed. The task is failed with an error "filter failed".
hp-setup returns no error when I create the printer
But hp-doctor says :
--------------
| PERMISSION |
--------------
Checking for Configured Queues....
error: PPD /etc/cups/ppd/.ppd file not found
warning: is not HP Device.
warning: Fail to read ppd=/etc/
warning: Insufficient permission to access file /etc/cups/ppd/.ppd
warning: Could not complete Queue(s) configuration check
It seems it cannot find the ppd file, but it has no name, only the extension. Very strange !
The permissions in /etc/cups/ppd folder seems OK :
franck@
total 32
drwxr-xr-x 2 root lp 4096 août 23 16:20 ./
drwxr-xr-x 5 root lp 4096 août 23 16:21 ../
-rw-r----- 1 root lp 11107 août 23 16:20 HP_LaserJet_
-rw-r----- 1 root lp 11107 août 23 16:07 HP_LaserJet_
What's wrong with this config ?
Thanks
