Can't find printer once ran the hplip download on Ubunut 18.04

Asked by Lori Carnahan

I can now get to the device discovery page with the usb. when I hit next it tells me my printer doesn't exist. I have left the usb unplugged for the entire install and made sure the printer itself isn't in sleep mode. But it still isn't happening.

Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" seems to be the problem. How do I fix this?

I am reentering this ticket cause I can't get a responce from anyone. Getting pissed off.
