Trying to get my HP Deskjet 3630 to print on my raspberry PI

Asked by Michael Dmytrasz

I am trying to get a driver for my HP Deskjet 3630 printer to run with the CUPS software on My Raspberry PI. Cups recognizes the Printer and USB connection but without a driver it will not Print. I have tried downloading the hplip-3-18-1 software but have run into several obstacles due to the Ubuntu documentation. I finally got info on the superuser password change an it finally stated to run. I got as far as the 'make' command and got an error: 'make' command failed with status code 2. Now I am at a loss as to what to do next. I am not at all familiar with Ubuntu or linux coding so this has been a frustrating procedure. Again all I want is a driver that will allow me to print on my Raspberry PI Computer to my HP 3630 printer. HELP!!!!!!!!!!
