Cannot print HP ENVY Photo 7155 on UBUNTU 18

Asked by bloozguy

Set the printer up with HPLIP (which I previously re-installed) Version 3.17.10
I have pinged the printer - OKAY
sudo hp-check -r shows no errors or warnings
Printing through e-mail works

CUPS shows :

ENVY_Photo_7100-204 Unknown Withheld 413k Unknown processing since
Sun 21 Oct 2018 03:56:20 PM EDT
"Color Manager: no profiles specified in PPD"

i.e. it has been "processing" for 2 hours

Everything was working under UBUNTU 16 but I 'upgraded'

During upgrade I saw messages concerning "pixbuf"
I reinstalled all related packages

Reinstalled all related CUPS packages

I'm out of ideas

Here's what worked for me:

sudo rmdir /usr/share/ghostscript/9.25/iccprofiles
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgs9-common

Turns out it was a problem with ghostscipt. Who knew?
