HPLIP

My HP 3150 says "both cartridges are incompatable

I am using Ubunu 16.04 My HP 3150 will not print now because it gives an error code "both cartridges are incomparable". This happened out of the blue, I had not changed a cartridge. I know that HP sabotaged a firmware update to stop the use of refilled cartridges and then offered a fix to undo that sabotage. However the fix was for Window/IOS only. How can this be applied to Linux? Or will it require another lawsuit?

Hi,
Hope you have installed the latest firmware for this device. There were no changes done in the hplip driver for this device related to supplies. You need to contact the firmware team for support on this issue.
