Hp 3831 scanner not working with Lubuntu

Installation went well,only seems to be the scanner not working,I would like an icon on my desktop for the printer.

HI David,

The HP 3831 is not yet supported by the HPLIP driver . Please check the HPLIP portal for the new release updates.
