HPLIP installed into my Downloads folder
Asked by
Jeffrey Wilke
I downloaded and installed hplip-3.18.6.run as per the directions. The file was in my Downloads folder when I ran it, and it seems that's where it installed all of the printer drivers and software. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 and I ran the Automatic install when the option was available. I guess my question is, how do I uninstall it from my Downloads folder. The printer works and the hp app all seems to be working fine, it's just in the wrong folder. If it helps, I ran the installation from a terminal and the command was: sh hplip-3.18.6.run. During the installation, I chose yes to look for any updates. I believe that if I can uninstall the drivers/app I can reinstall from a folder called 'HPEnvy'
