Problems with HPLIP 3.18.5 installation

Asked by JOSE ERNESTO JUAN VIDAL

I have Ubuntu 17.10 and a HP Envy 5541 printer.
I need to scan a document but I think that I need to install hplip packet.
Well, I downloaded the file and when I tried to install automatically (sh hplip-3.18.5.run), I had this problem:

warning: Missing OPTIONAL dependency for option 'gui_qt4': python-notify (Python libnotify - Python bindings for the libnotify Desktop notifications)
warning: Missing OPTIONAL dependency for option 'fax': reportlab (Reportlab - PDF library for Python)
warning: Missing OPTIONAL dependency for option 'scan': xsane (xsane - Graphical scanner frontend for SANE)
A package manager '/usr/bin/python3 /usr/bin/update-manager' appears to be running. Please quit the package manager and press enter to continue (i=ignore, r=retry*, f=force, q=quit) :

I don't know how I have to do to resolve... how can I quit the package manager?
Thank you in advanced.
Ernesto.

Hi Jose,

I think you have kept the package manager open while installing HPLIP. Please quit the package manager manually or enter 'f' and continue.
