hplip 3.17.9 plug-in

I had previously install software for HP HP LaserJet M101-M106 to use with wifi. Unfortunately if I wantyed to print I had to disconnect from the router, print and reconnect. This time I reinstalled hplip 3.17.9, ran hp toolbox and get the error msg;
(python:4462): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "hcengine",

I run hp setup and it completes with out error. I then go to em, printers, propertiies for the hp laser and try and print a test page and I get the msg no plug-in, I click next and get this msg Failed to install Plug-in.
Either you have chosen to skip the Plug-in installation or entered incorrect Password. No password was requested

I've tried everything to get this to work.
