Not printing A3
It is not possible to print A3 from most applications except from Libreoffice. Most applications treat A3 instruction as A4 which is wrong although I put in A3 paper. Printer scales down A3 print jobs to A4. Since the printer is branded as full Linux support I don't think it is a matter of updating HPLIP although I tried that path too but there were problems that I will mention.
Printer: HP Officejet 7612
OS: Kubuntu 17.04
Installed HPLIP: 3.16.11
Question 1: why is it that printing A3 from Libreoffice works but from other applications (that I have tried) fails.
Question 2: why HPLIP installer recommends to enable main, universe and multiverse repos but some required packages are not to be found there such as pyqt5-dbus. Does HP require users to download source code, compile and be on their own? HPLIP did not install.
Question 3: what is the problem?
