scanning problem

Hp deskjet 3720 - after scanning a few pages, refuses to continue ?
Using xsane

" Kon scanner niet aanzetten: Fout argument"
" Couldn't start scanner: false argument"

Hi,

I tried the same issue in Ubuntu 16.04, it seems like the issue is not reproducible.
Please re-install HPLIP and try it again.
