hp-setup findet keine PPD-Datei für HP LaserJet 1018

Hallo,

ich weiß nicht ob dies nur eine Frage oder sogar schon ein Bug-Report ist:

Für den Laptop eines Freundes habe ich hplip-3.17.6 auf Linux-Mint 18.1 installiert und will damit einen HP LaserJet 1018 betreiben.
Die autoamtische Installation mit hplip-3.17.6.run funktioniert einwandfrei. Auf den Drucker wird bei Anschließen des USB-Kabels seine Firmware hochgeladen. Das Problem taucht erst bei hp-setup auf:

Es wird zwar die richtige URI ermittelt: hp:/usb/HP_LaserJet_1018?serial=KP203FE
(Das weiß ich, da ich HPLIP 3.16.11 gerade mit dem selben Drucker auf meinem Raspberry Pi 3 mit Raspbian (Jessie) erfolgreich installiert habe, nachdem ich das Kernel-Modul usblp ge"blacklisted" habe.)

Aber es wird keine PPD-Datei für diesen Drucker gefunden! Weder mit dem neuen noch mit dem alten Such-Algorithmus. Siehe dazu die Debug-Ausgaben von hp-setup -i -g und hp-check -t am Ende der Mail.
Verdächtig groß kommt mir die Minimale Distanz vor ("Min. dist = 9223372036854775807"), die beim Suchen angewendet wird (oder sie ist als negative Zahl zu verstehen?)

Ich habe probehalber den PPD-Dateipfad aus meiner Raspbian Installion angegeben (drv:///hpcups.drv/hp-laserjet_1018.ppd) Aber die wird nicht akzeptiert (Siehe dazu ebenfalls die Debug-Ausgabe von hp-setup).
Ich weiß leider nicht, was das Prefix "drv://" bedeutet und konnte auch leider nichts im Internet finden :-(

Da ich keine PPD-Datei angeben kann, kann keine Drucker-Warteschlange angelegt werden. Also kann ich mit dem Drucker nicht drucken.

Da der Drucker mit der älteren HPLIP Version auf meinem Raspberry läuft, weiß ich schon mal, dass der Ducker unter Linux funktioniert, und dass unter Mint 18.1 die Firmware in den Drucker geladen wird. Das Problem liegt also eher an der neueren Version von HPLIP, vielleicht auch im Zusammenhang mit Linux Mint 18.1 Dieses Betriebssystem wird ja erst seit kurzem unterstützt und HPLIP 13.17.6 beinhaltet ja schon einen Bug-Fix dafür.

hp-setup hat scheinbar auch Probleme mit dem Paket system-config-printer-udev. Wenn es installiert ist erkennt hp-setup keine USB-Device.nach Deinstallation und aus-/ein-Schalten des Druckers wird er von hp-setup erkannt. Die Idee dieses Paket zu entfernen entstand dadurch, dass ich versucht habe den foomatic-Trieber foo2zjs für diesen Drucker zu installieren und die Installationsroutine das Entfernen dieses Paketes verlangt hat.
