How can I built from foomatic-filters-3.0.2.tgz the foomatic-rip-hplip file in Opensuse 10.2?

You'll need to install HPLIP and add the -enable-foomatic-rip-hplip-install to the configure step.

The manual steps for installing HPLIP here:

at the configure step--in addition to the other options listed add -enable-foomatic-rip-hplip-install.

We no longer test on Suse 10.2 because as of Dec 16 2008 Suse 10.2 has reached end of life and is no longer supported by Suse.
