how to cange printer name

for historical reasons I need to change the name of an HP printer.
Currently is the hp model and ip name and i would like to change it to my historical name ie:
HP LaserJET 4250 Printer (lasergr3.lnl.infn.it) should become simply Lasergr3
Is it possible first and how to?
