HPLIP

HPLIP3.9.2 binary downlaod

Hi,
I am trying to install HPLIP3.9.2 on an Ubuntu Hardy.

I am using my university proxy to have access to the internet.

For some reason HPLIP fails to recognize my internet setup, and he can't download the binary for my printer.

I am trying to install HP CP1215 color laser.

Any help please. I f possible can I download the binary then make HPLIP point to it.

The plugin is supposed to be installed by running 'hp-plugin' as root, not
by directly downloading it.

@dwelch91: Until hplip respects proxy settings (http_proxy) there is no alternative but to download the plugin directly.

hp-plugin will download digital signature and key to check integrity of binary,
to download those files you are require configured proxy settings. we recommend you to use hp-plugin instead of download binary directly.
