Wireless printer HP Envy 4500 not printing

I used the latest HPLIP, to install my HP Envy 4500 wireless printer , and connected it to my wifi network, using a usb first, then of course to the network. the printer can be seen, but doesnt print wirelessly. I have tried a number of ways , from installing the same printer with different configurations to delting the printer and starting again. The printer will print with a usb cable, but doens't print over wifi. the version of hplip is 3.16.11, so it is the current version. I am using linuxmint 18.1, (sarah), and can attach the output of hp-check -t, to this report.
The printer is the default printer as seen in hplip gui, but the hplip check reports it as not being installed through hplip. it doesnt make sense to me. I even tried to print out this report, but it didn't happen !!
