HP Laserjet P2035 very slow to print in ubuntu 16.10

Hello please can someone help me to get HP laserjet p2035 printing normally. It currently can take up to 1 hour to print a single print job. I am printing pdf documents.

The printer is turned on and connected to laptop. Even with the error messages below for hp-check it eventually prints after up to an hour.

I ran the script hp-doctor and in permissions get the following warnings
