Duplex printing problem

Asked by yosam

I've installed hp lip. However, I can't seem to duplex print. When I select the option in both the hp lip console and the print console of the respective program itself (open office, document viewer, etc) to print duplex, it still prints the document as if it's single page mode. Am I supposed to download additional software to make this work?

Oh right, I should add that my printer is HP PSC 1510, and that I'm running ubuntu 8.10

The PSC 1510 doesn't apparently support duplex printing.

To use "duplex printing" with this device you'd would need to print all the even pages, turn the papers over, then print the odd pages on the back side of your previous output.

Thanks for the response. Originally I had my computer with windows installed on it. When, I duplexed printers with the windows/xp software, it always asked me to turn pages 180 degrees once it printed. So I guess it's the same thing here, only without the little prompt. Thanks again.
