superimposed text lines

My printer is Deskjet 645c
ubuntu intrepid
cups version 1.3.9
on random cases, lines of text are superimposed. It happens often, but not exclusively, for bold text, or large character sizes. if i can join documents, i'll send an original openoffice doc and a scanned image of the output

Please run hp-check -t and post the output.

Also have you tried doing a cleaning of the pens and an alignment?

You can do this by running:

hp-toolbox

then on the actions tab select the function you'd like to perform.
