HPLIP

Supported printer not printing

I am using an office jet 5740. It is supposedly supported by HPLIP, however it isn't printing. I've tried a couple different distress to rule that out as an issue. I'm familiar with using hplip for printing with other supported printers , so I'm fairly certain it isn't user error. Not really sure where to go next in troubleshooting this. Any suggestions?
