i am getting a printer not connected using the ubuntu operating system

I have no idea :) this is my first computer that does not use the windows
OS and I am just trying to figure out this ubuntu thing. My printer was
printing fine yesterday I don't know what changed. Any help would be great.

I am using a wireless connection and I just got it to print by changing the
device URL but I am not sure why it got changed and started not working.

Hi Aaron, I was able to get it printing but not through the HP thing I just
went to the printer icon in the applications box and it located the printer
and I was able to load it. But if I go to the HP toolbox it cant find the
printer.
Thanks for your help. My daughter is using that computer right now to do
her homework but as soon as she is done I will follow your instructions.

This is probably because the printer isn't using the HPLIP backend.

Try running this..click Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal.

Then type:

sudo apt-get install hplip-gui

then to configure the printer run:

sudo hp-setup
