HP Officejet K5400 bug printing on Photopaper

Asked by ThBu

SUSE 11.0
hplip-2.8.4-28.1.i586.rpm
HP Officejet K5400

With the setting for Printing on Photopaper
Best Quality Photopaper or Photopaper ...
and with the dpi-setting
1200 dpi Photo color or 600 dpi ...

all lights on the K5400 are blinking.

Nevertheless is there a way (special setting?) to print on Photopaper
without this error?

Usually this indicates that the data going to the printer is not supported by the printer.

I've been able to print to a K5400 with best and 1200dpi without any problems. Is this happening with all images you try to print? Can you email me the image you are printing so I can try printing with it? ke7ezt(at)gmail.com

Also you may want to try upgrading to the latest HPLIP.

Thanks.

Actually I tested on the wrong version. However this will be fixed in the next release of HPLIP.

Sorry about that.
