HP 3390 printer corruption

My HP 3390 worked like a dream for a while. But now its gone really wonky. It will if I'm lucky print about half a page and then start printing various ranges of garbage.

The printer ha problems working on the network, so I can't get to the web interface anymore.

USB technically works as I can begin printing to the printer

I've wondered if its broken memory but am not sure how I could test that. I've printed the various configuration reports nothing seems amiss. I also reset the printer to factory defaults to try see if somehow it had got in some hard to manage state.

I'd like to resolve this to see if its memory that needs some outside help or a driver issue that I can fix.

Please run hp-check -t and post the output.

Does the printer continue to experience these problems when printing from a windows system?

I will need to drag the printer to a Windows box. Can't do that too soon though. But will post status of that as soon as I can,

Not sure I can explain this. The printer, after about 2 months of this, has now started working smoothly. Weird. Well I'll try that strategy in future, if it fails, I'll tell its software masters and then it will just start behaving!
