Trying to install hplip 2.8.10, i get:
error:
The network appears to be unreachable. Installation cannot complete without access to
error: distribution repositories. Please check the network and try again.

But my internet connection is working...

Hi

Plz check if there is any type of firewall in the network.

Note: Plz try this from the open terminal try to ping yahoo.com & check, the command to check this on the opern terminal as follows to make sure that you do not have any firewall in between

    ping yahoo.com
