Hi andreki,

If you don't have xsane installed then you need to install it using your package manager. As Linpus is a Fedora based Linux it uses Fedora's RPM package manager.
Now I think the "advanced" bits of your system admin are hidden so you will need to find them. I have found a review of Linpus that will be of value to you with this:
http://www.linuxhaxor.net/2008/09/15/linpus-linux-lite-review/
This should give you more info than I could post here.
Also here is the link to a Linux forum that if you can't find your question you can post one yourself.

Hope this helps,
Dutch

We're recently released a package for the Acer Aspire One (Linpus) system. You can get more information about the package here:

http://hplipopensource.com/node/324

For instructions on downloading and installing go here:

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/linpus.html

We appreciate any feedback and apologize for the delay in this solution.

Thanks for your support of HPLIP--we appreciate it.

Aaron
