no align page printing

I want to align the ink cartridges of my new D2650 but the required pages are not printed - the "on" button is blinking. The same happens trying to print the test page (same with yast). After installation and setup I get a test page and normal printing is working.

What I did:
I just downloaded HPLIP 2.8.10 and used the automatic installer - suse 11.0's version was too old for the printer.

Heiko,

I've reproduced your problem with alignment on the D2560 but alas
I don't have a solution for you at the moment. I was able to get an
alignment to work with the Windows software.

As a workaround, you could install the Windows software for the
printer on a Windows machine and align the printer there. I know
that isn't the answer you were looking for but it will work.

We'll continue to work the problem.

Hello!

There is no problem anymore: I'm using OpenSuse 11.2 with HPLIP 3.9.8 now. Everything is working fine (after I set write permission to the related USB port - but that's not your problem...).
