Currently the device HP LaserJet Pro MFP M26nw is not supported by HPLIP. It will be included in the upcoming releases.

I use a hp laserjet pro MFP M26nw under ubuntu 16.04 but only for printing and not for scanning.
My printer works also in the local wireless network.

I hope to find a solution for scanning.

Hi,

As the hplip is not supporting the printer, you may have to add the printer in sane. The steps to add the scanner in sane can be found in following link.

The link is only for usb devices.

As stated in the link, you have to add the device product id and vendor id in the /etc/sane.d/hp.conf with the device name. The vendor id and product id can be obtained if the device is connected with usb, type the command in terminal lsusb. You may have to restart the sane service after adding this using command "/etc/init.d/saned restart".

Please let me know if any other information is required.
